As we bid farewell to 2023, it’s time to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve had at ID R&D. This past year has been marked by groundbreaking achievements, cutting-edge innovations, and notable recognition in the field of biometric authentication. Let’s take a closer look at some of the key highlights from 2023, and as we set our sights on the future, we’ll share a sneak peek into what we are planning for 2024.
Product Advancements
-
Injection Attack Resilience and Prevention of Deepfake Attacks
At ID R&D, security remains at the forefront of our product development. In 2023, with the delivery of IDLive Face Plus we made significant strides in fortifying face recognition systems against injection attacks. Our commitment to robust security measures ensures that our customers can trust the integrity of the biometric data they capture, stopping spoofs and Deepfakes from ever being considered as legitimate images.
-
Advancing Voice Security:
In 2023, we expanded voice authentication onto platforms like ChatGPT and WhatsApp, seamlessly integrating it into these widely-used communication channels. This not only enhances the user experience but also ensures the highest available standards of security directly within the communication channel.
As part of our ongoing commitment to fortify voice biometrics, we introduced our latest innovation, Voice Clone Detection. This cutting-edge solution actively prevents voice clones, adding an extra layer of security to our voice biometric systems.
-
IDLive Face – OnDevice Biometrics
One of the standout achievements in 2023 was a new implementation of ID R&D’s on-device facial liveness, known as IDLive Face – OnDevice. This empowers users with a frictionless and secure authentication experience directly in a mobile app running on the mobile device, setting new benchmarks for speed and convenience in addition to enabling offline use cases.
-
IDLive Doc – General Availability of Portrait Substitution and Re-Print
2023 also brought forth two new capabilities to fight fraud related to authenticating documents. Two new attacks that ID R&D now detects are photocopies and printouts of ID documents as well as a common, simple attack of pasting a photo on top of the photo on a genuine ID document. These two new products transitioned from the lab to real-world usage.
